Two Munros
Sgurr Thuilm.  Sgurr nan Coireachan (Glenfinnan)
In view of the Glenfinnan Monument at the head of Loch Shiel we parked at the Tourist Information Car Park (and probably had a coffee) prior to heading north under the McAlpine concrete viaduct up Glen Pinnan.  A decent track hugged the banks of the River Pinna.  It was a bright, sunny, day, and extremely hot in the valley bottom.  After 4 miles of flat walking we ascended Druim Coire a Bheithe which leads on to Sgurr Thuilm.  We summitted at 2pm to good views and fierce sun.  An enjoyable and easy
2 1/2 mile ridge walk ensued, taking us first to Beinn Garbh, then Meall an Tarmachain and, finally, the second Munro, Sgurr nan Coireachan, with its trig point.  The weather had gradually worsened.  Cloud level was now around 3000ft so we had no view from the top.  It was much cooler, and when we left the top at 4.20pm we had to resort to using the compass to ensure the correct direction down to Sgurr a Choire Riabhaich, 1/4 mile  after which we descended directly (east) to the bottom end of Coire Thollaidh.  We then followed the burn on its north side to rejoin our incoming route at the foot of Druim Coire a Bheithe.

Two Munros and 1 top
Creag Mhor.  Beinn Heasgarnich (Glen Lochay.  Loch Tay)
From Killin we motored up Glen Lochay.  The public road went further than the map suggested, ending at Kenknock where we parked at 9.00am.  The start was a pleasant warm walk with good visibility on a landrover track which was in excellent condition and followed the River Lochay to Batavaime from where it was a straightforward ascent up Sron nan Eun to Creag Mhor at 1032m.  The clouds had dropped and we needed the assistance of our good friend the compass to take us off north a short way before turning 90° east for the long westerly nose leading to the south end of Heasgarnich ridge.  As we progressed up this flank the clouds cleared and by the time we reached the top we had all round visibility again.
By way of descent we chose to make a BEELINE over gentle slopes then flat terrain to a Cairn on the Water Board road over the pass from Loch Lyon to Kenknock.  This brought us out near to Lochan Learg nan Lunn from where it was an easy stroll down the road to the car .(5.15pm).
